Visited 7 communities and 2 Farms by doing deworming with 100 ponies and gave 2 Tetanus vaccines on 2 ponies

Went to 3 communities by doing 2 exercises of Human Behavior Change (HBC) about:

Saddles adjust, early working age and over loading.
Cooling down and transport and landing

and Trained 4 Local Service Providers (LSP): 2 village Vets and 2 Farriers.

Trained 01 communities with 5 pony owners at Koh Thmey community about how to take care and prevent their ponies from common problems that always happen to their ponies.

1. Prevention

Visited 09 communities by deworming 68 ponies and Vaccination of Flu, Tetanus and J.E 9 ponies.

2. Education and workshop

Organized Saddlery training in Siem Reap from 1st-3rd November 2016, there are 4 saddlers attended. And organized Third Village Vet workshop from 25th to 29th November 2016 in Cambodia Country Club, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There are 25 village vets from different villages attended with us.

3. HBC and demonstrated

Trained 01 communities with 5 pony owners at Koh Thmey community about how to take care and prevent their ponies from common problems that always happen to their ponies.

Veterinary:

6 cases: 1 Blood test, 1 Abscess rib, 1 Wound, 2 Urine and Kidney. Consulted by phone for 1case: 1 Neck swollen.

Visited 09 communities by deworming 68 ponies and Vaccination of Flu, Tetanus and J.E 9 ponies.

2. Education and workshop

Trained 4 Local Service Providers: 3 Village Vets such as; Mr. Hor Hengly`s from Baray, Mr. Long Rin`s from Preak Por, Mr. Morn Horn`sfrom Roka Chan Leong and 1 local Farrier, Mr. Sem Sareoun`s from Kcha Beung Veng (Taught by Mr. Sem Kunthea).

3. HBC and demonstrated

There 35 ponies owners received HBC training, 6 owners from Kchabeung Veng, 13 owners from Man Dob and Pop Pen, 16 owners from Chros and Knasor.

4.Veterinary, Farrier, Saddlery Service

Veterinary:

15 cases: 2 edemas, 5 respiratory problems, 1 skin problems, 2 wounds, 1 back pain and 1 serious wound (Foal). Consulted by phone for 3 cases: 1 wound, 1 hoof problem and 1 tetanus disease

Trained Local Service Provider: 1 Village Vet from Preytatrav. And we did 2 Human Behavior Change exercises about the “Best Pony Reward Program” had 24 attendees from Quarry Area and 29 attendees from Vihear Suor joined with us.

28 cases: 1 foal abscess, 5 serious wounds, 2 lameness, 2 blood checks, 1 digestion problem, 3 respiratory problems, 4 skin problems, 3 hoof problems, and 1 wound (follow up). Consulted by phone for 6 cases: 1 skin problem, 1 gas colic, 1 dehydration, 2 lack of nutrition problems and 1 muscle pain.

We did 2 Human Behavior Change exercises about common problems mostly seen when the owners raising their ponies, there are 13 pony owners from Thmey and 30 pony owners from Roka Chan Leong who joined with us

Consulted by phone: 7 cases: 1 obstruction in intestine, 1 foal infection, 1 impaction colic, 1 lack of energy, 1 abortions, 1 tooth problem and 1 pelvis pain.

Consulted by phone: 6 cases there are: 1 foal impaction, 2 lameness, 1 neck swelling, 1 hoof problem, and 1 foal lameness.
